Ghana: 2014

After leaving Secondary Education I decided that I would fund a trip to Ghana. My main goal of the trip was to teach and build an arts programme at a school in the North of the country. Ghana still young from independence has no formal structure of creativity within their education system. It has been an issue for many schools especially in the Northern Saharan regions. I taught 11 subjects at Great Stars Academy everything from basic French to teaching students how to explore colour and creative expression. My students all passed their level four English and have continued to enrol in senior school.

Making use of my input at Great Stars Academy, I also painted murals for the school- to brighten up the environment and engage some of the school children in the school's design.
